Our affiliation with HomeFront makes it possible to offer special supports to low income residents.

Camp Mercer
Camp Mercer is a yearly service we provide at your community center. We serve the Lawrence community through creating a safe environment for children of all ages to participate in growth opportunities and leadership roles, all while having a fun summer experience.
Food Pantry
The food pantry provides individuals and families in need with nonperishable food necessities. It currently runs on the first and third Thursday of every month from 12-4pm. It is run by our food pantry coordinator, Ms. Jacquie.
Case Management
The center provides in-house case management services Mon-Fri, 8:30-4:30pm through our certified case manager, Ms. Deborah. These services can include emergency shelter, transportation and clothing, back rent assistance, and service referral. Additionally, the center can supply personal care bags, HomeFront FreeStore vouchers and Furnish the Future furniture vouchers.
Programming
The community center is a unique place that allows a vast array of programs and events to utilize the space. Through our center, you can enjoy access to a variety of new and familiar courses, classes, and experiences. Some examples include scout troops, yoga, volleyball and book clubs.
Fundraisers and Drives
At the Lawrence Community Center, we offer the community multiple drives throughout the year. These include a Back to School drive, Thanksgiving drive and Holiday Wish drive. The Back to School drive provides students with supplies and backpacks, while the Thanksgiving drive delivers all the holiday essentials in one place. The Holiday Wish drive connects the wishes of children under 18 with community donors who participate.
The Lawrence Community Center Garden
The piece of land next to our community center building is a community garden. This beautiful garden is used to grow delicious produce for our community. Our volunteers tend to the plants and harvest them to use in our food pantry.
